Day 1
Meet and greet by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel. Rest of day at leisure, with a welcome dinner.

Day 2
Morning at leisure for individual activities, orientation round Sanur, swimming, sunbathing, shopping, relaxing etc.
Afternoon depart for tour to the artist’s colony of Ubud, with visits to the home of a silver-smith in his cottage industry workshop and showroom. Observe intricate silver jewellery being made by hand with simple tools. Stop at a woodcarving workshop in Mas, and an artist’s studio in Ubud. Before dusk we drive to Petulu village, to observe the return of white herons (kokokan) from all over Bali, flying in to Petulu to roost for the night. An interesting and unexplainable phenomenon. Then dropped outside the Puri Ubud (Ubud
Palace,) for a chance to wander round Ubud with it’s fascinating markets, shops and restos. Dinner will be late tonight, so a good chance to pop in for a drink and snack in one of the little places full of character, before meeting back at the Puri Ubud in time to be seated to watch a performance of the spectacular Kecak Dance (excerpt from the renowned Ramayana story) or a Legong Dance (series of several items of classical dance).(actual dance to be specified nearer time as programmes change). Ubud is home to the top dancers and musicians of Bali and the opportunity to see a group from this area is not to be missed.
Following the dance a late dinner at Bebek Bengil restaurant in Ubud, before returning to the hotel.

Day 3
Morning at leisure.
2.30pm: set out for sightseeing to the western part of Bali, visiting the monkey forest Alas Kedaton, the Taman Ayun temple at Mengwi, surrounded by a moat, and on to Tanah Lot, a pagoda located atop a rock promontory, sometimes cut off by the tide, and famous for it’s postcard pictures of the pagoda set against sunset. A young coconut drink will be served as passengers watch the spectacular sunset (weather permitting), before returning to /the hotel, arriving back at hotel around 7pm or a little after (sunset time depends on season). Free for own arrangements for dinner. (B)
Day 4 Denpasar – Bima - Komodo
7.30am: Depart for airport for flight to Bima in Sumbawa island. Scheduled arrival time 09.40am.
Note: Domestic departure tax Bali Rp:20.000, payable in rupiahs only. This amount should be kept aside ready for departure.
Meet and greet at Airport in Bima by a new local tour guide, and transfer to Sape Harbour approx one hour drive to the South East for boarding your boat (equipped with radio navigation, electricity, and toilet, one large cabin with 6 – 8 beds, life jackets and mattresses). Sail to Komodo Island, approx 4 hours, sailing passing small islands, sometimes accompanied by dolphins swimming in front of the boat. Lunch served on board. Late afternoon arrive at Komodo Island, accommodation and meals on board.

Day 5 Komodo – Labuan Bajo
After breakfast walk for 1.5 miles to Banugulung to see activities of the giant Monitor Lizard “Komodo Dragon”, scientifically described in 1912 as VARANUS KOMODOENSIS, which is up to 3 meters long and weighs about 150kg. It is estimated that around 3500 – 5000 Komodos inhabit Komodo, Padar, and Rinca Island, and Western Flores. Return to boat and opportunity to swim or snorkel on clean pink sand beach. Lunch served on boat. Sail back to Labuan Bajo, a small town inhabited by fishermen, lying at the extreme western part of Flores. The town serves as jump off point to both Komodo and Flores islands.

Day 6 Labuan Bajo – Ruteng – Bajawa
Breakfast at Hotel. Drive overland to Ruteng – a small town with cool climate, the capital city of Manggarai Regency where the Manggarainese tribe dwells. On route stops made at Lembor and Cancar to enjoy the beautiful panorama of rice fields with both lush and dry hills as the background. Other stops in accordance with local happenings. Onto Ruteng :Puu, a Manggarainese traditional village, to see their uniquely shaped houses and be with local people. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue driving east to Bajawa, another small hill town (1100 metres above sea level) with cool climate, capital city of Ngada Regency (home of the Ngada and Nagekeo tribes). Stops made at “Ranamese” Lake, and snapshots at magnificent peak of Mt Inerie – an active volcano) and Aimere. Light sweater, socks, singlet, long-sleeved shirts etc recommended for this climate.

Day 7
Bajawa – Community Development programme.
Bajawa is the hub for tourist excursions into surrounding traditional villages, such as Boloji, Boripo, Warusoba, Likowali, Beiposo, Bobou, Naru, Bomanu, Langa, Bena, Gurusina, Nage, Menge, Soa,Wogo and others where four sided ancestral monuments such as Ngadu, Bhaga and Ture can be seen.
Community Development starts today, and will take place at Desa Wawowae, Desa Beiwali and Desa Susu, where there are 5 elementary schools and one secondary school. One Desa (village) consists of 4 to 5 traditional houses, and several are located 2 – 3kms from the hotel. Depart hotel in the morning after breakfast and arrive back at hotel around 4 – 5pm. Lunch and dinner will be organized with locals in each village.

Day 9
Bajawa – Community Development and farewell dinner
Community Development in the morning. After lunch, explore traditional village of the Bajawa tribes .Visit Bena, a megalithic village where ancestral spirit worship and way of life is still preserved, as can be seen in the “Ngadhu” and “Bhaga” in the village the volunteering is carried out in. These thatched roof huts are conical shaped and symbolize the male and female ancestral spirits. On route stop on the slopes of Mt Inerie. Return to Bajawa and continue 2km to Boloji for farewell dinner and traditional Bajawanese dance performance, followed by “suling” a Bamboo flute concert. Return to the hotel for accommodation.

Day 10
Bajawa – Ende – Moni
Breakfast at hotel. Continue drive overland for 5-7 hours to Moni through scenic road enjoying the beautiful panorama of the valley with the ocean as the background. Stops at Wogo, another traditional Bajawanese village and Boawae, village of Nagekeo tribes to observe their traditions and culture. Lunch at a local restaurant in Ende, and Onekore village, the centre of “ikat” (tie dying hand-weaving in Endenese typical style. Proceed to Moni for accommodation. and dinner at Flores Sare Hotel.
Day 11
Moni – Kelimutu – Maumere
5.30am: depart for drive up to Kelimutu volcano to see the famed three coloured lakes. On arrival walk 1.5km and then ascend the 127 steps to the top to view Kelimutu’s green, blue and black lakes. A Dutch geologist discovered Kelimutu in 1914, at which time the lakes were red, blue and white. Descend to Wolowaru, famous for it’s traditional Lionese houses. Lunch at a local restaurant at Paga Beach. Proceed to Sikka, centre of “ikat” (tie dye) weaving to see the traditional process and visit an old church built in the 16th century. Next, drive to Ledalero, a major Catholic Seminary, to visit the museum with it’s various collection of old portraits of local royal families, antique handwoven c loths, stagedeon fossils, etc. If time permits, visit Wuring village to see houses built on stilts over the sea, in Maumere. Continue to Waiara Beach for accommodation and meals at Flores Sao Resort

Day 12
Maumere- Bali
Breakfast at hotel. Early checkout, drive to Lilo village to see the biggest statue of St Mary situated about 20km from the hotel. Breathtaking views from a hill, from where can be seen both the southern and northern beaches of Flores, islands in front of Maumere city, and the surrounding villages.
Transfer to the airport for flight to Bali. Note: Domestic departure tax from Maumere is Rp.15.000 and payable in rupiahs only. This amount should be set aside in readiness.

Day 13 Bali
A lazy wake up, a swim, sunbathe and generally wind down after exciting adventures in places yonder.
Afternoon, the ultimate relaxation, we transfer you for an experience that will awaken the body’s senses, health and peace of mind, for an exhilaration treatment lasting 2.5 hours. The exotic experience begins with gentle body exfoliation using a blend of granular herbal plant extracts. Skin is then buffed to a smooth feel with Balinese “polish” called boreh., and followed by a cooling yogurt body mask to nourish the skin. Then a soothing soak in a tropical floral essentials oil bath. A health tea known for it’s internal detoxification properties is offered as you relax. Last but not least, enjoy an hour of aromatherapy massage, using foot reflexology and lymphatic drainage techniques designed to help strengthen the body’s own healing potential. What could be a better way to spend an afternoon after your travels?
Or, - could taxi or bemo them to Kuta, for shops, restos, beaching, and experiencing life in Bali’s fast lane, with it’s hard sell etc. Could make a pickup point and time, for them to be picked up in Kuta for the pampering experience. Would not recommend doing Kuta AFTER the treatment as would undo all the relaxation. Evening at leisure.

Day 14 Bali
Approx 7.45 – 8.00am:
Pickup for River Rafting (6 hours, with 2 hours actual rafting through some of the most spectacular scenery Bali has to offer) World-class river guides and modern safety equipment make this a fun day, a mix of wild excitement and sightseeing, switching between Class II and III rapids and wide, leisurely stretches through tropical rain forest. Tour ends with lunch at Riverside rafting restaurant. Towels and waterproof camera bags provided. Take bathing costumes and change of clothing, as you will get wet!!

Day 15 Bali
Morning free until check out time 12noon.
Time to be advised: Transfer and seeing off service to Ngurah Rai airport for departure from Indonesia. International check in time is 2 hours prior flight departure,and time to airport approx 30 – 40 minutes. Therefore transfer departs hotel 2hrs 40minutes prior flight.
