Description

This exciting trail in the northern provinces of Bulgan and Selenge, passes through varied and beautiful landscapes with wide fertile valleys, forests of silver birch and poplar, rivers and mountain passes.The tour begins with an overnight train journey from Ulaanbaatar to Erdenet, the second of only three cities in the country, developed around the copper mining industry. After five days cycling we arrive at the spectacular monastery of Amarbayasgalant, a series of marvellously restored Manchurian style temples situated in remote mountains not far from the Russian border. We continue cycling to the road point then return to Ulaanbaatar by jeep.

Inclusions

Transfers, domestic flight, support vehicles, accommodation in hotel and ger camps, tent hire, meals, bike mechanic, interpreter.

International flights, visa costs.

You can bring your own bicycle or hire one of ours. We have Specialized Rockhopper front suspension hard tail bikes available to hire at Euros 20 per day.
