Hiking the Rob Roy Valley

Description
The Rob Roy Valley is reputed to be one of the most beautiful walks in the world. Wander through lush primordial forest and sneak views through the towering trees of the alpine splendour that surrounds you. Suddenly you will break through the forset and be confronted with the enormous south face of Rob Roy. You can admire this massive glaciated mountain face from the safety of lush alpine grasses surrounded by the unique native cheeky alpine parrots called Keas.
If you are lucky (and most are) you will witness giant blocks of ice fall from hundreds of metres up to explode on the rocks at the bottom of the face. This spectacular show happens often and is observed from a very safe.
