Description

GOLDRUSH TOURS has been operating in the niche market of recreational goldpanning trips since 1992. Formerly under the name of DANIDOR a small company specialized in the design, manufacturing and sale of gold nugget jewelry.

After working in a team of 3+ people, each participant usually takes home at least 1/2 ounce of self mined gold nuggets. The seasons of 2007, 2008 and 2009 were outstanding. Each participant took home 1 ounce of nuggets and flakes. Not bad at todays gold price!

Inclusions

• English speaking tour guide
• 12 days of Gold prospecting
• Transport to and from the claim areas
• Accommodation in a cabin or a tent by the creeks
• 6 nights accommodation in Queenstown, based on double occupancy
• The gold will be divided amongst the group with no weight restriction
• Gold panning and mining equipment, including use of the Suctiondredge
• Fishing- and hunting excursions

• Flights to and from Queenstown
• Food and beverages
• Wetsuit and mask for operating the Suctiondredge
• Fishing license, culling fee for fallow deer
• Supplement for single room occupancy

Itinerary

Duration:

18 days / 17 nights

Monday 8th February

Participants arrive in Queenstown. Tour preparations are made for the next few days. Overnight stay at the house of your tour guide.

Tuesday 9th February

Start of the actual program with four wheel drive trip to the claim of your guide. We set up our camp and our tents. A tipi will be our kitchen tent where we will be able to cook and have our meals around the open fire.

Wednesday 10th to Monday 15th February

Pan for gold to your heart’s content on the claim of your tour guide. Get instructions on how to operate a suction dredge.
If hunting for fallow deer, wild goat or hare appeals a trip can be organised by prior arrangement.

Tuesday 16th February

Return to Queenstown. Settle into the accommodation and enjoy an evening at your leisure.

Wednesday 17th to Thursday 18th February

Fishing trip or a day at your leisure.

Friday 19th to Tuesday 23rd February

A cross country trip to a gold bearing creek with the Landrover. Settle into accommodation (Cabin, basic hut or tent). More opportunities for gold panning.
Sunday evening return to Queenstown. Move back into the accommodation and enjoy an evening at your leisure.

Wednesday 24th February

Discover Queenstown and the spectacular natural surroundings. Get an adrenalin rush in the adventure capital of the world - bungy jumping, paragliding, white water rafting; to name but a few of the exciting activities on offer.

Thursday 25th February

Your GOLDRUSH tour comes to an end and will hopefully be pleasantly remembered for a long time to come.
