Camacha with its famous wicker handicrafts, "Balcões" Levada Walk at Ribeiro Frio, dominated by the Laurissilva forest, and Santo da Serra’s Market with a festival of flavours, colours and traditions; finishing in the stunning Ponta de São Lourenço.
This is one of our most fascinating tours, where you can explore the daily life of Madeiran people.
After departing from Funchal, our first stop is in Camacha; a small village with its famous manufacturers of wicker handicrafts. After this, we will go to Ribeiro Frio, where the beatiful and easy "Balcões" Levada Walk starts (Optional/aprox.40min).
Our next stop will be in Santo da Serra’s typical market, where you can enjoy a festival of flavours, colours and Madeira’s traditions with flowers, fresh vegetables, fruits and more. Afterwards, we go for a typical Madeiran lunch (not included) at Parque Ribeira Primeira, which is a unique place, where you can feel the nature.
Finally, we travel to Ponta de São Lourenço, the most easterly tip of Madeira, with a stunning landscape, where it is possible to see, at the same time, the north and the south parts of the island.
